Manage Back Order

You can choose to create backorders instead of purchase orders to manage preorders on your Shopify store.
Create a backorder for specific products from a supplier. Here are the following steps to create the Back Order:
- Click on the Back orders menu from the navigation menu bar on the screen’s left side.
- A Backorder dashboard will appear at the extreme right of the navigation menu bar.
- Click on the New Back Order Button to create the purchase order. A dialog box will appear on the screen.
- Fill in all the details and hit the save as draft button.
- Now Mark as Approved” the Back Order.
- Add buffer days, which could include the delivery time required to deliver the product from your warehouse to the customer. The pre-order option on your Shopify store will show the delivery of the product as the Backorder Delivery Date + Buffer Days.
