Training the Demand Forecasting AI Model in ForecxtIQ

Once your Shopify store is set up and all necessary data for the ForecxtIQ model is in place, you can begin training the AI model to enhance your demand forecasting capabilities.

Key Steps to Initiate AI Training:

1. Automatic Checkbox Selection:
Upon installing the Shopify store and synchronizing products and orders, the checkbox for training the ForecxtIQ model will be automatically selected. Note that only Shopify orders from the past three months will synchronize; for historical orders, use the Order History data upload option.

2. Pre-Training Requirements:
Before commencing AI training, ensure the following steps have been completed:

• • Maintain Safety Stock and Average Holding Cost:
    All products must have safety stock and average holding costs defined to ensure accurate forecasting.

  • Document Marketing Spending:
    Track marketing expenditures for both past and future dates to identify patterns in how marketing impacts sales.

  • Upload Historical Order Data:
    This data will allow the AI model to analyze past sales trends and enhance the accuracy of forecasts.

  • Specify Suppliers for Each Product:
    Ensure that each product has at least one supplier listed, including purchase cost and lead time, to facilitate efficient inventory management.

  • Update Holiday Calendar:
    Maintain the holiday calendar for past and future dates to help the AI model recognize sales trends related to holidays.

  • Keep Forecasting Prediction Timeframe Updated:
    Regularly update the forecasting prediction timeframe to indicate how far into the future the demand forecast should extend.

3. Start AI Training:
Once all prerequisites are met, you can commence AI training. Track its progress through the AI log:

• Click on the Start AI Training button.
• A dialog box will appear on the screen. Click Confirm to initiate the training process.
